When I first started going to my gym, I saw almost nobody squatting for weeks, now everyone squats lol.
Squat form! Jiaxie97 10 2 yearsTyrannosaurusFlex (2641): It's due to the tibiofemoral force exerted on the knee joint in the lowest part of the movement. Dumbbell rows: the thread! mikew Jump to first page48Jump to last page 3 yearsZyzzst (4486): I think that barbell rows are superior to dumbbell rows, i just feel more stable by doing them and can use a far greater weight. My good friend and his coach (jason huh) utilize pullups for about 65% of their workouts and their backs are awesome...inb4 roid references, but these guys had great physiques before the roids.

deadlift and squat tehnique golago 26 3 yearsMMB (3616): I personally don't like the way you lockout at deadlifts. Leaning backwards like you do can cause too much back hyperextension with that much load we put on ourselves when deadlifting. Maybe I'm wrong on this but when I use my glutes to lockout anyway I don't need to do that with my back and it makes you stay super straight over your gravity center. As for the squats, like everybody said.. Too fast, I used to do the same but @wannabemuscular...

Deadlift Technique AarronStenner 7 4 yearsThedude67 (3088): @NorIda This is awesome advice! It's actually going to apply to me right now also. I did deads the other day for my max and pushed myself into more reps than I've ever done with that weight, but my hams were really sore the next couple of days. They basically turned into stiffed legged deads...I need to drop the weight and focus on form also...
At what point does sh*t form become ok? IrishGymSheep 11 4 yearsjphillips17 (490): something my little bro consistently put in my head when he got my into the gym is this. Shit form is for those who want to appear stronger than they really are. For those who want to have medical issues their entire lifting career. Who cares about the weight, with proper form, the weight will come. I would rather look like a wimp in the gym working my way up the racks/plates with proper form than start heavy and look like a fool.
How is the form? Video GTFIH dwatson 16 4 yearsMarkovich (595): Hahaha xD

Form check, 100lb db press CodyTheClen 7 4 yearsCodyTheClen (37): @Dukenhiemer yup! 3x10 is my PR. When using lower weight I can tell I hit the chest with a more controlled and full movement. Just wanted to see for myself that I can handle the 100s by myself. Thanks all for the responses!

Benchpress form BaiTu 9 4 yearsDukenhiemer (23893): For the average joe, yes. For a power-lifter, no. I wish I was half that flexible! Unless you're freakishly flexible most guys will not have that big of an arch and still have their ass touch the bench. She also does not have her feet flat on the floor, it is easier to get an arch when the fed doesn't require it.
