Dre BEATS RANT !!!!13115

FiremanSi private msg quote post Address this user
.. So my headphones broke (skullcandy's).. and i my only other pair are my Dr. Dre Beats..
Really didnt want to but i wanted music for squatting so to my own mortification i wore them to lift today.
FUCKIN' NIGHTMARE..
Can't keep them straight they didn't even last past my fockin WARM UP and they were fallin' all over the Kip.

NOTE TO SELF: If you can comforatbly wear Beats in the Gym.. or you currently wear them... My estimation.. no offense...
Your not working out hard enough !!
Seriously most guy i see wearing them, NEVER break a sweat or workout hard at all.. so it makes sense !!

I would never use Beats at all, but I agree, whenever I see someone using Beats (especially Studios) in the gym they don't seem to be working very hard haha.

Never used them, but agree with the bit where you said "Seriously most guy i see wearing them, NEVER break a sweat or workout hard at all.. so it makes sense"

See that all the time!

I own a pair of Dre Beats Pro; had them for about 4 years now.
Honestly, wearing Beats to the gym is probably the dumbest thing ever. I've tried, and there is no way you can comfortably lift with them on. Though, I don't really wear headphones anyways...the broscience talk amuses me

Though for casual use, the Pros are awesome. Overpriced compared to Senheiser series, but I like them. Very durable (almost 4 years, and going strong), noise cancellation is awesome, and they double as ear-muffs during the winter (here in Canada, it is 6months of Winter)

@Arnoe @Trev182 @sriram Glad i'm not the only ones anyway who thinks this. haha.
U can't be in a different country wearing beats in the gym apparently and still the same douchebag.

Ps i obvsiously own beats and think their AWESOME but i prefer earbuds for the gym they take a beating better.

I have a pair of the tinchy Stryder goji headphones, there good but i would not be able to wear them for leg day or squatting, bench or OHP. All other exercises is fine

You'd never catch me wearing those douchey Beats headphones, no offense.

I use a pair of Sony earbuds, but only for cardio, which lately is like never lol. They go around the ear though. Pretty comfy.

To the people who bought Dre Beats, you all deserve all the Dre Beat misfortune that life can throw at you because you bought Dre Beats.

Am I correct in assuming it's because they are the style that has a band going from one ear piece, over your head to the other ear piece? If that's the problem I'd imagine all headphones that style would suck right? I have a pair of headphones that are that style and I love them, but I use the sport headphones when I workout, they're kinda like earbuds but they have a rubber clip that goes over my ear to hold them in place, maybe try a pair of those?

Even the beats that go in your ears don't stay in while I workout and it's ok though cuz it pisses me off so much that I get a lot of rage and lift more weights.... Oh and I'm on my way to return them right now as we speak hahahah

@Thedude67 Those look good. I use these. Around-the-ear is the best for staying on imo.

@firemansi Whatever floats your boat, I just think you can get WAYYY better sound quality for the money, with beats you're paying for the look and the brand.

Personally I prefer in ear plugs, we have a few guys wearing beats to the gym. One of em always on the cellphone and making others wait to bench -,-'

Monster Lil' Jamz - possibly the best set I have purchased. Unbreakable. I'm confident they would still work after being run over by a truck.

My skull candy broke a couple days ago. So I went to get another pair of head phones. I thought about getting the beats. They were on big sale for just a few bucks more than the skull candy. But I knew I would end up with another broken pair (because of myself) in the next 6-12 months so I just bought the skull candy again. Best bang for the buck you can get. Glad I didn't grab the bears from the sound of this thread.

@Arnoe Completely agree. Mine have been through some serious abuse. I'm not someone that places them in their pouch after use, I've stepped on them more times then I can count and the only concern is possibly rolling an ankle.

@Thedude67 I use a Sony sport pair like those for the gym. I can't get buds to stay in my ear when doing cardio. I HAVE to have the hook around the ear.

@oceanair I use those exact ones lol They work awesome and have great sound quality.

@FiremanSi And yes, southern states in the US checkin in and people who wear beatsbydre to the gym never sweat and are douchebags. Do you guys have problems with guys wearing bandana's ? or thick headbands/sweatbands ? My gym is full of douches that wear wife beaters(like the one in my avatar, which I would NEVER wear to the gym) and these headband/bandana things. What is this? is it a crossfit thing? some new generation thing?

Yeah, my ears are shaped funny, ear buds just fall right out! I just bought those skull candy phones from Tj Max for $4.99, if they break, I'll just go get another pair, or two, or five...

My beats have the ear piece which fits snug into your ear, I can tug on the cord and they won't come out...

@JordanW Virgin ears checkin in. Ur lucky mate.. the likes on iphone/ipod headphones are a waste of time with me they NEVER stay in.

@Xandar Naw man the only people over here whearing headbands are the real old guys and you just think 'aw bless him, fair play for even being here man' but lads wearing them no they wouldn't have the stones. Very critcal and openly sarcastic country ireland... couldn't get away with that... for example only guys wearing stringers are guys don't really FIT in wifebeaters.... ps i love a good wifebeater.. haha. Their great.
