I recently upped my calories by about 300 and I'm feeling hungrier than I was when I had less calories. I felt good eating 1500 calories, but now that I'm eating around 1800 I'm hungrier. Thoughts?

1800 calories seems way too low even for a lady. Your body is fighting you and wants you to eat more i think.

@Musa my maintenance is 2300...so 1800 cals is a 500 calorie deficit. Some guys I know cut at 1400 cals.

check those macros.
50 proteing= 200 cals
20 fate= 180 cals
30 carbs= 120 cals
total cals= 500

or is that what you took off from your tdee?

usually a 500 cal deficit is sufficient, i.e. 1800 for you.
your hunger may be more about what you're eating and the satiation provided by those foods.

usually 10-12 cals per pound of body weight is general rule for very aggressive weight/fat loss.

@Salokin I didn't mean 50g protein, etc. I meant 50% of my diet is protein, 20% is fat, and 30% are carbs. I'm eating high voluminous foods as well.

Too much protein, not enough carbs. What is the bump for? -3X

What is your question? Why are you hungrier eating more calories? Who knows, lol. Maybe you're more active. Most likely it's because your carbs are so low you're not fueling your body. -3X

@eknight its not bc my carbs are too low bc I was eating the same amount of carbs when I was eating 1500, as I do now

The effects of low-carb diets aren't always immediate. Often times they're chronic issues. Either way, it's just pointless to have that much protein and that little carbohydrates. Your body just converts the protien to glucose in your liver anyway and it's unbelievably wasteful and inefficient. -3X
