Hey guys pretty new to the gym atmosphere, Ive been going for approximately 2 full months now very regularly and have gone from 75kg (slightly overweight) to 66kg (very light). Now I just wanted to get some advice in terms of my current diet:

Mornings:
* 8 weet bix and 99.9% Fat free Soy Milk, Bannana

Midday:
* 97% Fat free Turkey and Chicken Slices
* A combination of fruit
* Celery and Carrots

Before Gym:
* Differs each day, but generally THROUGHOUT the WHOLE week it varies from dishes such as:

1. Kangaroo fillet or steak with salad (No dressing)
OR
2. 97% fat free chicken or turkey slices on a sandwitch (lite rye bread)
OR
3. Grilled chicken breast and either steamed veggies or roasted

Dinner:
* 97% fat free chicken breast, with steamed or roasted veggies, no sauce.
OR
* Kangaroo fillet or steak with steamed or roasted veggies
OR
* Lite rye bread, 97% fat free turkey or chicken shreds sandwitch

In terms of portion size, its not too immensly big, but taking into consideration ive lost about 9kg in a month and a half, im assuming im doing well?

The most important questions are how tall are you and are you male or female? What's your workout program looking like (days, exercises, sets, reps). Also what are you ultimate goals? For example what do you want out of your diet? I think you need to provide as much info as your possibly can for more thorough answers. Also if you could map out your portion sizes a little better such as how big of a fillet you had or how many pieces of fruit that would be helpful. From first look it doesn't look like your getting any fat intake whatsoever. Are you cooking with any oils? Can make much comment on protein and carbs until we know your daily caloric intake.

Hey there, cheers for the info, im currently about 5 foot 7. My age is 17 (almost 18) im male. At the moment, ive been reading alot of articles which have prioritised cardio over weightlifting for weightloss, however i do understand you do lose SOME muscle when losing weight aswell. I do however change the intensity of my workouts every month or so, so this means i run at a faster speed, or at a higher intensity and steepness on the cardio machines, I only lift maybe once or twice briefly after a 1 hour cardio session each day. My goal is to purely lose weight while retaining VERY little muscle or definition, not to hassled. My portion sizes when eating might be 1 and a half chicken breasts, and 3 pieces of each veggie. I try and eat 2 pieces of fruit a day, this sometimes means that I dont include a bannana with my weet bix but just eat a little container of fruit midday. When cooking my food I always grill as its a healthier cooking style, I use olive oil spray (from the can) but VERY minimal i spray each time. I have ALOT of protein from all the meats i consume throughout the day, but try and avoid carbs as much as i possibly can. Hope this helps

Only other recommendation would be to increase your poly & mono unsaturated and saturated fats. I'm still confused as to your ultimate goal unless its to keep losing weight until you look like you have an eating disorder or something. There are articles on this site discussing the differences between HIIT and LISS training. You might want to read into them.

If your a gym newbie i would have kept a balanced healthy diet and watched your body slowly change for a month or so. then i would either have cut or bulked to add size.

Oats are a good shout instead of weetabix man

You need some more healthy fats and carbs! What is your total (average) calorie count as well as grams of protein, carb, and fat count (in grams)? -EK
