I used to basically do the exact same as MOE, except I'm still in college. I drank quite a bit in high school, and was destroyed 3-4 nights a week in my freshman year, and every weekend in Sopohomore year.

Now I'm a Junior and basically realized I needed to get my shit turned around if I wanted to get into the grad schools I want. So now I rarely, if ever drink. It's alot more boring, but i'll trade a year of boringness for a school that'll have me set for life.

I still go out when I can, but I just don't drink. Still fun and I don't complete waste the next day like I used to.

I don't drink because I love training.
It just gets in the way too much, it has negative effects on your bodies performance and it's aesthetics. Also the fact that it fucks with eating on time and macro nutrients.

If I drink I know my body isn't being fueled right for my training. Unlike alot of people here I don't train because I want my body to look a certain way or I want to be able to do X, Y or Z I train because I love training.

I couldn't enjoy my training and be happy knowing that I haven't given it everything I can, that my body isn't in it's optimal state.
I eat a certain way sleep a certain way all so I can train like I do to the max of my abilities.

worst hangover of my life last weekend. puked the next morning when i got home and if sucked ass so im waiting till spring break lol

Idk I guess I don't notice the effects of alcohol by the time I go to the gym unless I was really fucked up.

I metabolize everything really fast, and I don't usually even get hungover. I have never puked the next day after a long night of drinking for example.

I just notice that in the morning I look skinny and then I just eat a little food and I fill out and my muscles puff up again. I dunno I figure you're only in my age group for a little while and I might as well enjoy it because I will probably continue to lift for many more years after this.

I also dont think my physique resembles that of someone who drinks a fuckload, but I dunno. I drink 2-3 days a week usually.

My body and strength are my prized possessions, besides maybe my car haha

if you try and drink a lot of water right before bed, the purpose is to get rehydrated, but correct me if im wrong, if you drink it all really faster say within ten min, wont you piss most of it out anyways? i was always taught to sip it kind of slower, rather than as fast as you can

I usually stay away from it now while training BUT i Will be getting Sh!t faced this weekend at a festival, i'll consider it as a cheat meal
