I used Jack3d and loved it. I worked out 30% longer an was in the gym for 2 hours almost every workout.

Stopped using it to preserve my health.

My little brother sent me this to make sure I was still discontinuing my use. (I think last summer was the last time I touched the stuff)

It would be cool to get EK an a few more study savvy people in here

But, check this out:

One thing you always want to look at is who the source is. The Army will be one of the first to blame deaths on something other than themselves, they take enough heat as is without the deaths of soldiers. The soldiers who died could have had preexisting heart problems, or could have been dehydrated when they died. Until more information comes out, I wouldn't worry. I've taken Jack3d several times, and my girlfriend has taken OxyElite a few times as well and well....we're both still standing. I wouldn't worry truthfully. Newspapers have to have something to report on to make money.

Thanks for that man. I love taking jack3d too, but stopped recently as I was occasionally having some really aggressive heart rate issues.

I was waking up in the middle of the night with a really high heart rate... It would be like that for maybe 20-30 seconds then resume as normal.. Pretty frightening man.
Was also getting migraines after taking it. Stopped taking jack3d and both went away.

Haven't taken a pre-workout for a few weeks... Gonna get on a non stimulant soon. SuperPump just ordered from vitacost

Dont really know about heart issues with pre workouts but ive taken jack3d,1mr and warrior rage and they havent had an affect on my heart or anything major that ive felt apart from some really intense workouts but one thing id stay away from is a pre workout called ragnorok, motherfucker is incredible for about the first 4 sets of your workout then nearly died

I stay away from pre-workouts. Bottom line is they are a stimulant - taking them frequently is not good for your heart.

If you are a young, fit male, there's no reason to routinely take a preworkout supp.

Hurricane I've taken multiple tubs of Superpump 250, Multiple tubs of NOExplode, and multiple tubs of Jack3d, and as far as I'm concerned they way they make you feel is just kind of unnatural. If I felt they were safe I would continue to take them because I was a fucking animal on them, but I'm just informing people of what I've heard.

Frankly, when I'm on Jack3d my muscles never feel like thy're tearing, they don't burn, they just lift, and then suddenly they fail, and that's when my set ends. I also get tunnel vision HARD.

If you're concerned with using Jack3d because of the DMAA then I would recommend Assault, I liked it just as much as Jack3d, but it is DMAA free

PWO I have atm is some carbs with Creatine, NO, Taurine and Glutamine, so it basically doesn't have stimulants.

I passed out walking up my stairs after having 2 scoops of Jack3d once. It's just playing with fire. And I'm not worried about the DMAA, I'm worried about the stimulating nature of all of these pre-workouts, as I said I have tried quite a few.

Irish what do you take? I would feel better potentially trying a new PWO based on recommendation from an experienced and knowledgable member like yourself. I just cant go back to Jack3d it's too much.

I take Nitrobolon it's from a European company called Trec.

It's mainly just a pump product and it delivers I haven't been taking it under ideal situations but I'v still felt it to be really good.

First time I took it I was blown away, picked up my gym back to go and I was getting a sick pump in my bicep it was insane.

I love this stuff, but I agree with the post above, it's crazy to blame this unfortunate event on a supplement when we don't know anything else about the soldiers' health/diet, etc. People need to be held responsible for themselves and what they put into their bodies. I, amongst others, have experienced the benefits of this product in my workouts, it can be a great supp if used correctly

Dat der Americans!!

They were probably shot by their follow soldiers.. Traces of DMAA were then found in their blood from their previous gym sesh, so they blamed that as cause of death, missing the fact they both had a big dirty bullet hole sniped through their chests.

aaahhhmeeen!

FAF!!! "I took like this pre work out next thing I know my heart is totally going fast..."

Bravo Phaggots you are only half retarded....DUHHHHHH WTF DO YOU THINK CAFFEINE DOES?! hahaha I dont see anyone being all pussy about drinking a redbull or any other stimulant....

Here are the RETARD proof rules to taking a fuggin Pre workout...

1.Start with HALF a scoop...

2. If you feel light headed after doing an exercise..you have done TOO MUCH...

3. Taking a Pre work out for cardio = RUHTARDED

4.You take Pre work outs for Lifting ONLY

5.Heart Stimulant plus...heart stimulating activity = Heart attack...

I weigh 68-69kg and can easily take 3 heaped scoops of Jack3d even after a month off pre workouts.

If you're caffeine sensitive then you have to play it smarter. Perhaps one scoop and add extra arginine/AAKG/citruline if you want a better pump.

Saw this post and had to create an account of my own to add in my two sense**

Another reason to stop using Jack3d (and any preworkout with DMAA for that matter) is because Geranium stem, although a very effective and strong pyscho stimulant, is actually an even more powerful vasco-constrictor. What this means is it restricts the flow of blood to your muscles while you're on it. The whole point of a pre-workout (other than increasing your energy) is to increase blood flow to the area you are currently working out in order to increase the oxygen in those cells and allow you to push out more reps and not get tired etc. So using DMAA basically defeats the whole purpose of taking a pre-workout to begin with!! Yes you will feel an insane rush of energy but is it worth losing the pump and those extra reps??

That is why I recommend taking pre-workouts that provide you with clean energy ONLY in the forms of caffeine, b-vitamins, and l-arginine. Not ones with DMAA! A few of my favorites are Gamma Labs PTF (tastes like koolaid and has antioxidants), Superpump Max(packed with BCAA's) and N.O Xplode...you should check these out instead!
